New Playground at McKay Park! Thank you, Donors!

Ribbon-cutting and groundbreaking for the new McKay Park playground equipment!
 

In April 2017, Salem Parks Foundation made the City of Salem an offer: we would raise the money for all new playground equipment at McKay Park if the City would budget for site preparation and installation. Thanks to the generosity of people from all over Salem (and beyond), on March 7, 2019, we presented the City Council with a check to cover the cost of the new playground equipment. Ground-breaking occurred July 11, 2019. The new playground was installed in late September and celebrated with a ribbon-cutting ceremony October 22, 2019.
